Freedom House Youth Center

Freedom House Youth Centre is a safe haven for young people to grow, heal, and create

“You are the salt of the earth…” Matt 5:13

“You are the light of the world…” Matt 5:14

“In the same way let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your Heavenly Father.” Matt 5:16

The Heart of Freedom House

Freedom House is a place to belong, to be known, and to grow in confidence, creativity, and purpose. It is a safe place for young people to build healthy community connections with one another, while being supported and mentored along the way.

Within this community, young people have space to discover their value and purpose, experience healing and greater freedom, and grow into who they were created to be.

Freedom House aims to be a place full of creativity, friendship, laughter, and life. It will be a place of vibrancy, including open mic nights, music, art, games, recreation, fries, and shakes.

Support groups and mentoring will create opportunities for deeper connection, while street outreach will invite young people into the life of the House. At the centre of it all will be opportunities to encounter Jesus and discover the hope, love, and freedom found in him.

Freedom House will be an open space that offers mentorship, support, advice, counselling, activities, connection, and many opportunities for self-expression.

It aligns with the principles of Whakatupu akonga – to grow people. Crucially, young people need safe environments where they can learn, heal, grow, and develop with confidence.
