There are times that demand something different. When the status quo is no longer sufficient. When the need is so great, and the hunger is so deep, that an eruption of the raw power of God is the only solution. We are living in such a time
Young people live in a context marked by darkness and awash with confusion, despair and pain.
How does God respond this? Does He ignore? Does He watch like a spectator, choosing not to act? Or does He respond? Does He present a solution?
History is loaded with accounts of God raising up people in times of difficulty. Individuals or groups that He transforms and fills with His Spirit and uses their lives and testimonies as powerful agents of change.
This beginning to take place again now. The Holy Spirit is moving forcefully in and through the lives of young people, making them into living proof that ‘the light shines in the darkness’. Many of these young ones will emerge as revolutionaries and revivalists. A nameless, faceless tribe of humble, burning-hearted followers of Christ who will be counted in eternity as among the great champions of our time.
The leadership team are simply a group of friends who have sensed God calling them to create a space for young people to genuinely and powerfully encounter the reality of Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit.
All of this is designed to simply immerse young people in worship, the Word of God and the presence of the Holy Spirit. With the goal of igniting a fire of love, hope and purpose built on strong foundations that will last for a lifetime. The internship will mean that they put faith and their learnings into action.
Why?
Just about every awakening in history has had young people at the forefront. While every generation has a vital role to play, again and again we see that times of great revival have a disproportionate effect on the young, and God works through them powerfully.
The grand vision for The School is a huge wave of revival sweeping across New Zealand leading to countless men, women and children coming to know Jesus as Lord and Saviour.
Low Cost
The school would have a low cost so students can be able to sign up. Costs would cover flights and other costs that would arise. Budget on its way!
Financial gifts for speakers would come from students as an offering – this was raised by Kristen as a good idea to encourage students to sow in and creates a great heart culture.
The school would lead into the Tent Revival.
